Short List of Research Interests

  • My primary research interests lie in visual perception and cognition. I am beginning a federally-funded project examining potential differences between the hearing and deaf in visual attention. I am also interested in motion perception and in adult age differences in visual attention. I have secondary research interests in the factors influencing the persistence and retention of college students and am planning a project examining the impact of peer mentoring on college student persistence.
