Organizations
 
Organizations with which faculty members are affiliated include: the American Psychological Society, American Psychological Association, Louisiana Psychological Association, Southeastern Psychological Association, Southwestern Psychological Association, Society for Neuroscience, Society for Behavioral Neuroendocrinology, National Association of Black Psychologists, Society for Research in Child Development (SRCD), Society for Research in Adolescence, National Rehab Association, LA Rehab Association, American Counseling Association, ASERVIC, LCA, and the American Mental Health Counselors Association. Students may attend meetings and submit research projects.

Qualified students are invited to become members of Psi Chi, the national honor society in psychology.

PSYCO is the Psychology Department's student organization for all Psychology majors and minors. The purposes of the organization are to render service to the community, to promote student collegiality and collaboration, to promote familiarity with the professional aspects of the discipline, and to encourage the development of faculty and student relationships.
