Fifteen researchers from the Developmental Science Lab (DSL) are going to present their research at the prestigious Biennial International Congress of Infant Studies (ICIS) http://www.infantstudies.org/congresses/2016-congress/, which will take place May 26-28, 2016 in New Orleans, LA. Presentation topics include (1) Individual Differences in Newborns' Cries Confuse the Search for Gender and Native Language Effects, (2) People's Attitudes toward Breastfeeding in Public: Individual Differences, (3) To Engage or Disengage in an Infant Distress Situation? Dispositions in Empathy and Social Inhibition Tell a Story, and (4) Distressed Yet Empathically Sensitive: The Organization of Preschoolers' Behavioral Responses to Infant Crying.
