The Psychology Department recognizes top graduates every semester by awarding two honors: The Hait-Lewis Award, recognizing academic excellence in Psychology, and the departmental Outstanding Graduate, honoring a top all-around graduate. This fall, the Hait-Lewis Award was awarded to Jacob Ambrose and Kristen Petitjean was selected as Outstanding Graduate.

Jacob is from New Orleans and is the current president of UL Lafayette's chapter of Psi Chi, the National Honor Society in Psychology. He is a member of Dr. Hung-Chu Lin's Developmental Psychology lab.

Kristen is from Rayne and is earning a double major in Psychology and Public Relations. She is a member of the Honors program and also serves as a member of the Honors Program Board; she is also on the executive board of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority.

Jacob and Kristen will be honored at the Psi Chi Induction Ceremony on November 14.
