Dr. Brooke Breaux and Dr. Yang Yang received awards last week at the Office of the Vice President for Research, Innovation and Economic Development's Research Recognition Reception. Dr. Breaux was recognized as an Outstanding Undergraduate Research Mentor and Dr. Yang received a Rising Star award.

Rising Stars are junior faculty who show significant promise in research, mentoring, and scholarship. The Outstanding Undergraduate Research Mentor award recognizes those who show great commitment to involving undergraduate students in the research process. For each award, one recipient was chosen for each College within the University.
