Dr. Li received her PhD from the University of Pittsburgh, where she worked with Dr. Irene Hanson Frieze. Dr. Li's research spans the areas of social, community, and cross-cultural psychology; she is particularly interested in the topic of place attachment--the psychological connections that people form with specific places--and the predictors and consequences of this attachment. She is also interested in cross-cultural studies of migration and immigration.
Dr. Li joined our department in Spring 2017 as an adjunct instructor and is currently teaching and conducting research as a Visiting Assistant Professor. She will start her tenure-track appointment in Fall 2018.
