The Psychology Department is very pleased to introduce our newest Assistant Professor: Dr. Manyu Li. Dr. Li received her PhD from the University of Pittsburgh, where she worked with Dr. Irene Hanson Frieze. Dr. Li's research spans the areas of social, community, and cross-cultural psychology; she is particularly interested in the topic of place attachment--the psychological connections that people form with specific places--and the predictors and consequences of this attachment. She is also interested in cross-cultural studies of migration and immigration.
Dr. Li joined our department in Spring 2017 as an adjunct instructor and is currently teaching and conducting research as a Visiting Assistant Professor. She will start her tenure-track appointment in Fall 2018.
