The Psychology Department has recently welcomed several new faculty members.
Spring 2017 Top Graduates
Thu, 03/30/2017 - 1:35pmWe are please to announce our Spring 2017 Outstanding Graduate and the Spring 2017 recipient of the Hait-Lewis Award for Academic Excellence in Psychology.
Our Outstanding Graduate is Demi Leleux (left). Demi Leleux is a native of New Iberia, Louisiana. She is graduating this May with a 4.0 GPA, with a minor in Visual Arts. Demi is currently the president of Psi Chi, the vice-president of the Ragin Cajun climbing club, and a member of Alpha Lambda Delta and the National Society of Leadership and Success. She is also a member of Dr. Hung-Chu Lin’s Developmental Science research lab, where she has assisted with data collection and analysis on several projects, and helped present findings at several conferences, including last year’s International Conference of Infant Studies. Demi will be attending Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania this upcoming fall, where she hopes to obtain a master’s degree in art therapy and counseling.
Our Hait-Lewis winner is Cammie-Jo Touchet (right). Cammie-Jo Touchet. Cammie-Jo Touchet is a native of New Iberia, LA. She is graduating this May with a 4.0 GPA and a minor in Child and Family Studies. Cammie-Jo is currently the Vice-President of Psi Chi, and is a member of Psy Co and the National Society of Leadership and Success. She is a member of Dr. Hung-Chu Lin’s Developmental Science research lab, where she has assisted with data collection and analysis on several projects, and helped present findings from one of these projects at the Undergraduate Honors Research Conference held at UL Lafayette last spring. Cammie-Jo has applied to the Counselor Education program at UL Lafayette, with the goal of becoming a family counselor. She loves her current job at the Clinic for Counseling and Personal Development and would like to continue working there as a graduate student.
The department is very pround of Demi, Cammie-Jo, and all of our Spring 2017 graduates.
