Two psychology students are receiving departmental scholarships for the 2018-2019 academic year. Lauren Short is the recipient of the UL Psychology Department Scholarship; Erin Moran is the recipient of the Emily "Mae Mae" LeBlanc Badeaux Memorial Scholarship. 

Lauren is a senior minoring in Child and Family Studies. She is an officer in Psi Chi and with Phi Mu Sorority and is actively involved in Psychology Colloquium, NAMI on Campus, and Actively Moving Forward. She has been involved in research projects in both the Psychology and Child and Family Studies departments. She hopes to obtain a PhD in Clinical Psychology.

Erin is a second-year graduate student. She received her bachelor's degree from the University of Southern Mississippi. She is interested in child and adolescent research, and hopes to pursue PhD studies in Clinical Psychology.

Both women are originally from Slidell, LA.
